Simple logos are more memorable. That's probably because the brain does't have to record too much information but it can quickly use what it does collect to make a detailed analysis or opinion. A customer will only glance at a logo quickly so you don't have long to make an impression. Use that time wisely!
When you describe your logo, you will be expected to explain what you expect your customers to think when they see your design. To do this, think about what you would NEED them to see first, what that thing is meant to mean and whether anything stops that from happening (like your image being too busy are complex).
